After a number of months when no-one (including the council) were sure what was going to happen, things now seem to be moving. We need to be ready for mid-September, when it is thought the consultation will take place. An ‘Objections’ page will be placed on the website nearer the time, detailing how you can raise an objection to the site with the District Council.
How You Can Help
We hope that you are interested in supporting our campaign. In order to be successful, we hope that people will want to help in any way that they can, either by attending planned events, leafleting and making representations during the consultation. If there is anything you wish to offer in terms of support, please contact us – either through this site, or by emailing kneesworthcommunitygroup@gmail.com
We are particularly interested to hear from people who can offer their time if they have professional experience in planning or legal areas. Equally, raising the profile of the campaign by distributing leaflets through the village is being done by volunteers – so if you are able to assist with this, please let us know, we plan to start this in early July.
The previous campaign showed that there are many dedicated and resourceful people in the community, but the most important thing you can do it to get involved yourself, the community group will be just one voice, we need many more for the council to hear us. If you do not object to the proposals, you are effectively supporting the them.
Organising a successful campaign such as this requires a great deal of work behind the scenes, from proof reading campaign material to chasing up information form various public bodies and generating publicity. If you want to help, we have something you can do!
- Legal/Planning
- Environment Regulations

- Attending council meetings
